Install WoW addons on Steam Deck

Switch to Desktop Mode, find the Proton prefix, and point the manager at the flavor folder inside it.

Path

SteamDeckHQ walks through Desktop Mode, adding Battle.net as a non-Steam game, and finding compatdata. The addon path they print is home/deck/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/<id>/pfx/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/World of Warcraft/_forever_. The id is the one Steam assigned. I will not publish a borrowed number.

Retail is the same prefix with _retail_ instead of _forever_. CurseForge will not guess it. Paste the folder. A NieuBarmy video shows a Deck install from another year. The prefix shape matches. The flavor folder still has to be the one you play.

Questions

Why can the manager not see the game?

It is looking at the Deck's Linux disk, not inside the Proton prefix. Paste the drive_c path.
