WoW addons out of date after a patch
Tick "load out of date" after every patch. If the addon still errors, the toc interface number is behind, or Midnight removed the data it needed.
Which failure
Wowhead notes the out-of-date checkbox clears when the patch lands. That is the first check on every client, including MoP. Editing the toc number loads a stale addon. It does not add data the author removed. Treat an edited toc as temporary.
On Midnight, Hekili, official WeakAuras and, from one source, GTFO did not break because of a bad zip. The combat data they required is what the policy posts closed. The policy page is the explanation. Classic and Forever are not that policy.
Pandaria searches ("not working for Pandaria") belong on the MoP side of this split. Update the MoP build of the addon. Do not install the Midnight zip into _classic_.
Questions
Should I edit the toc?
Only as a bridge until the author ships a build. If the addon reads data the patch removed, the edit changes nothing useful.
