Install WoW addons on Linux
The addon folder is inside the prefix: drive_c/Program Files (x86)/World of Warcraft, then the flavor, then Interface/AddOns.
Find the prefix
Steam and Proton hide the client under steamapps/compatdata and a numeric id, then pfx/drive_c. Lutris and plain Wine use a prefix you chose. I do not have a single Lutris name to print. Search the prefix for World of Warcraft rather than trusting a screenshot from another machine.
CurseForge publishes a Linux AppImage. WowUp publishes a native build. Both still need the flavor path. If the app cannot see the game, paste the _forever_ or _retail_ directory. Do not paste the Proton root.
A Garycomehome video shows a Linux CurseForge setup. I use it as a second view of the AppImage, not as a path that overrides the prefix on your disk.

Questions
Is Steam Deck the same?
The prefix shape is the same. The Steam Deck page adds Desktop Mode and the deck home path.
