WowUp setup and fixes
WowUp is the open-source manager that reads more than one catalog: WowUp Hub, Tukui, GitHub, and either CurseForge or Wago according to the chosen edition. The search that dominates is "wowup not finding wow." The app is not blind. It is pointed at the wrong flavor folder, or the game has never been launched, so Interface does not exist yet.
Record
For a manually selected installation, choose the actual client directory; Forever uses _forever_. The same action on retail is the _retail_ directory. Steam Deck and Linux prefixes hide that folder under a Proton or Wine drive_c path. The Linux and Steam Deck pages spell those paths. WowUp will not invent them.
WowUp has two editions, explicitly offered on its homepage: CurseForge and Wago. A CurseForge-only addon can be found through the CurseForge edition; its absence from the Wago edition is a provider mismatch. Check the edition before treating an empty search as a detection fault. The homepage does not explicitly document Forever support, so this page does not turn generic manual-path selection into an official Forever compatibility claim.
The app is free. I am not quoting a price I did not see. Installers belong on the WowUp site. This page does not mirror them.

Questions
Where do WowUp files go?
The app installs into the flavor folder you select. See the folder table.
