GearScore on this page means GearScoreLite for the 3.3.5a client, interface 30300, the Lite line people cite as 3x04. It is not a retail addon and it will not load under Forever's 16001 or Midnight's 120105. The search that reaches it is explicitly the 3.3.5a phrase.
Compatibility and installation
The Lite build locks itself while you are in combat so the score cannot be refreshed mid-pull. That lock is the behavior that separates it from a retail item-level display. I am not describing a modern item-level addon under this name.
Warmane and other 3.3.5a servers are where the file belongs, inside the client-root Interface/AddOns folder. There is no _retail_ directory on those clients. Putting the zip in a Forever folder is the mistake.
I do not have a Blizzard-hosted download for this. The copies that circulate are community builds for the old client. I link only sources I opened. A number with no page under it stays off this article.
A GearScore value is not interchangeable with item level or a raid invitation requirement. This page documents the legacy addon identity and client target, rather than a universal formula for judging a character. A custom realm may alter gear, classes or encounter rules. That makes a generic score a different question from whether its addon package targets the client.
