OpenMap for WoW

OpenMap is a Forever map addon. GitHub lists v0.7.5-beta dated 1 November 2026; the earlier CurseForge research record names 0.7.1-beta-retail. These are source-specific labels rather than a merged version. Interface 16001 is the line I can quote. Saved variables use OpenMapDB. Optional dependencies named by the project are Questie and Leatrix Maps. Optional means the map still opens without them. Questie adds quest markers. It is not required for herb and ore pins.

Compatibility and installation

A search asks whether OpenMap and NodeSight work together. I found public notes about OpenMap's own conflicts and I did not find a NodeSight project page I can cite. I will not invent a conflict with a tool I cannot source. If you stack two node maps, disable one when icons double up, and treat that as practical advice rather than a documented bug.

TomTom remains the arrow. OpenMap is the pin layer. AtlasLoot is the loot browser. Three different windows, three different folders.

Install the release zip from CurseForge or from the GitHub releases, not a screenshot pack. The beta label means the author is still moving pins. I date this page 6 Nov 2026 so a later tag is obviously newer than what I wrote.

The beta tag describes the project release state and does not document every possible pairing with another map addon. Keep the chosen OpenMap version and optional plugin versions separate when comparing behavior. A duplicated pin can be produced by overlapping data layers, so identify which layer contributes the icon before treating it as a confirmed OpenMap defect.

Questions

Where do I put OpenMap?

Unzip so the folder OpenMap sits in that client's Interface/AddOns directory. The folder table lists the client path.

Does OpenMap have a Midnight build?
