Where to download WoW addons

Get the game from Blizzard. Get addons from the author or from a manager that names its source.

The game client

Blizzard distributes World of Warcraft for Windows and macOS. There is no browser build to embed. Forever, retail and Classic are flavors inside that client, not separate games you buy from a pack site.

Addon hosts

CurseForge, Wago and WowUp install into a flavor folder. GitHub is where several Forever projects publish release zips. Download the release asset, not the source archive. This site does not rehost those zips.

Where a download should come from
Host	What it is	Use it for
Blizzard	Game client	The game itself
CurseForge	Desktop app and catalog	Most WoW addons, including Forever
Wago	Site and app	Addons, auras, UI packs
WowUp	Open-source app	Wago, Tukui, GitHub, some CurseForge
GitHub releases	Author zips	Polestar, OpenMap

Questions

Why is there no private-server client here?

Those clients are not Blizzard downloads. The private-server pages talk about addon folders only.
